Safeguarding at Wavell

Safeguarding at Wavell is built upon the motto "Be the Best You," ensuring a safe, child-centred environment where emotional resilience and inclusive care allow every child to flourish.
 
This commitment is detailed across several key areas:
 

  • Core Philosophy: Safeguarding underpins every action within the school community - providing a stable, nurturing environment where children can learn and grow together.
     
  • Our Wavell Values: The school prioritises Respect and Responsibility alongside Compassion and Kindness, enabling us to maintain a culture where positive behaviour is the norm.
     
  • Curriculum Integration: Safeguarding and online safety are woven into the curriculum through drivers like "Healthy, Happy Me" and "Talk to Me, Listen to Me," equipping children with the skills to make safe choices.
     
  • Staff Commitment: All staff undergo rigorous training to identify and address concerns, ensuring every child has a trusted adult that they are able to speak to about any concerns or worries they have.
